Writer's Workshop
Students will be writing on a daily basis. Students will be journaling every morning as well as writing during Writer's Workshop.
Our Writing Workshop time will be split into three Segments.
Segment One: Mini Lesson, during this time Mrs. Flippin will be discussing/modeling an important topic of writing.
Segment Two: Independent Writing, during this time students will be quietly writing on their own. Also during this time Mrs. Flippin will be conferencing with students about their writing.
Segment Three: Share time, during this time students will have the opportunity to share their writing; with a partner, the whole class, and/or in writing clubs.
Students will also be keeping an ongoing Writing Portfolio. This will allow students and parents to see their growth in writing.
